Living in Park City: World-Class Mountain Living

Park City is more than just a ski town; it is a global destination. Home to Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley, and the Sundance Film Festival, this city attracts buyers from all over the world. Whether you are looking for a ski-in/ski-out condo in Old Town, a luxury estate in The Colony, or a vacation investment property, Park City offers an unmatched mountain lifestyle just 35 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport.

The 2026 season marks a historic turning point for the city. Deer Valley Resort has officially opened its massive "Expanded Excellence" terrain for the 2025/26 winter, debuting 7 new lifts and the East Village Express Gondola that connects the new base area to Park Peak. Simultaneously, the city is preparing for the 2026 Sundance Film Festival (Jan 22–Feb 1) and gearing up for major SR-224 Transit construction resuming in April 2026 to solve canyon traffic.

Frequently Asked Questions About Park City

Can I do nightly rentals (Airbnb)?
It depends heavily on the zone. Old Town and resort bases generally allow it. However, neighborhoods like Jeremy Ranch often restrict rentals to 30 days or more. We must verify the zoning map before you buy.
What is the Deer Valley Expansion?
It is the largest ski expansion in history! For the 2025/26 season, Deer Valley opened 7 new lifts and the East Village base area. This adds nearly 3,000 acres of terrain over the next few years, all skier-only.
Is traffic getting better?
The city is working on it. The massive SR-224 Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project resumes construction in April 2026. It will create dedicated bus lanes to bypass traffic from Kimball Junction to Main Street.
When is Sundance 2026?
The 2026 Sundance Film Festival runs from January 22 – February 1, 2026. It is the busiest 10 days of the year, so if you plan to rent out your property, book it early.
